For visitors parking by Kingsbury Hall or Morse Hall:
Visitors with a parking permit can use the Kingsbury Hall visitor parking (contact me for a permit). Paid parking is available at the EOS parking pad at Morse Hall.
Where to stay:
There are two good hotels to choose from in Durham:
- The Three Chimneys Inn is a very pleasant hotel with a rustic New England feel. The food is excellent and you can easily walk to the waterfront of the Durham Town Landing. You can walk from the Three Chimneys Inn to my office in Kingsbury Hall in about 20 minutes.
- The Holiday Inn Express is a convenient hotel located close to campus. It will take you about 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to my office in Kingsbury Hall.
Looking for other options? Portsmouth, NH is a very good choice with many hotels and inns, as well as great restaurants and bars. This town attracts many tourists especially in the summer. Portsmouth is 15-20 minutes from Durham by car. You can also look for lodging in Dover, NH. Dover is not a common tourist destination but there are several hotels in this town. Dover is about 15 minutes from Durham by car.
